Update

Happy 4th of July! Thank you dad for serving our country in the Air Force. Mom and dad met while dad was stationed at the Air Force base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. My grandpa was always inviting military men home for home cooked meals. If I remember the story correctly, mom was already dating another service man grandpa had brought home but mom and dad were married within 6 months of meeting.

Dad has not be feeling well this week. Seems to be out of breath a lot. He isn't using the oxygen all of the time because it makes his throat very dry and sore and the plastic nose piece gives him sores in his nose. He says he isn't in pain but just doesn't have any energy. He still feels like he is better off than most as he hasn't lost his hair or had any vomiting or other bad side effects most people get with chemo treatment. Mom is slowly recouping from her falls. She said her black eye is gone so now it is just some bruising and a lot of soreness.

Dad is trying to work on his photos. A man living in their complex is teaching dad how to frame his photos which could save dad a lot of money. A framed picture always sells for quite a bit more than an unframed one. He donated 4 photos to the cancer event last weekend and all 4 were bought. That was encouraging. There is a printer that dad wants to get that will print out larger pictures, 16x24 I think he said, but it is very expensive and just not something he can financially make happen right now.

We appreciate your prayers and encouraging words. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.

Melody, like this new format of the blog :)
Having no energy is almost as bad as being in pain sometimes. Am praying that Larry's energy levels will improve and that he can get some photos framed - am sure they wd sell well. I enjoy looking at the calendar he sent to some of us Rheumorweb chatters. Melody, don't forget, you and the other siblings must hve some photos of you dad in recent years that Stephen Issell could use!!
((hugs and good wishes)) to Larry and Sherry.

Steve and Lorrie, Mom is looking for photos. Dad is the photographer in the family so there aren't too many photos of him. I'll let you know when we find one.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Sometimes we do wonder if anyone is reading it. I know that I can always count on you and Lorrie to be faithful contributors.

Steve, Melody,

I love the format. It is very professional. If you want, I can look at some of my pictures to see if I have a picture of Larry.

Love
Char

Ah, New theme and one that I like.
Just popped in to say that I am still thinking of Larry.

If there are any images that I have taken on my blog site that Larry thinks he could sell, then I am willing to send the files across.
He can have them to sell....

Regards Stephen (Bodak)
